Tom Evans
BanjoTom Evans is a banjoist/singer/songwriter for the band, "The Warmed-Over Boys", (Go to www.20south.net/Warmed-Over_ Boys.html for sampler of music). As a young adult, Tom began playing the banjo over 30 years ago. Originally a bluegrass picker, he's since expanded his repertoire to include "old time (clawhammer)", blues, country, and "newgrass" music. Tom is able to teach both beginning and intermediate levels of the aforementioned styles. (Prior knowledge of tablature is helpful, but not necessary.) A retired teacher, he is ready to tailor his instruction to best serve each individual student. As a folk artist performing on a traditional folk instrument, Tom believes in the pure enjoyment gained learning to play any and all types of music on this versatile instrument.
